Although quite believable at first glance, upon closer examination we noticed what appeared to be suspicious wire in the photo. As The Moving Crew examined the photo more carefully we determined that it is indeed faked. This miniature shipping container was suspended from a wire and the photo was taken to make it appear as if it was flying. This is of course impossible for actual shipping containers. We just wanted to alert true container spotters to the various container spotter hoaxes that The Moving Crew has received so that you are not deceived when tracking containers.

I spotted this container 2 years ago just outside of Honolulu. I'd been on vacation with some friends and, while searching for something interesting to photograph, I accidentally came across this interesting, graffiti marred, piece of metal. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get closer because of the proprietary restrictions, but I still managed to capture a glimpse of its, in my opinion, cynical artwork.

There it is again! It's not the same graffiti as the one in Hawaii, but it's rather similar. I wonder how much more of them are there. I want to photograph them all!

I've taken this photo 3 weeks ago in Rijeka. I've been container spotting for a couple of years now. I'm quite a bohemian, actually. All I ever do is travel; just me and my camera. I can't even remember the last time I’ve been at home. Containers are what keeps me going, ya know? I think of them as a sort of... hm... life compass? I dunno how to describe it. I find them ever so puzzling; nobody can tell what's inside of them with just a glimpse. Nobody knows what their secrets are. Nobody knows where they're headed next. That's why I follow them: I just go wherever they take me. No plans, no attachments. It's more fun this way.
Heh... what can I say, I’m just fascinated with mysterious things.
Spotted by at
I'm not sure if you can see it from this distance, but in the middle of the photo is an interesting graffiti I’ve spotted last year while travelling through Europe. My girlfriend and I are artists ourselves and we are currently working on a project that focuses on the usage of different surfaces for artwork. Isn't a container prefect for sth. like this or what?!?
Spotted by at
I recently started tracking down interesting containers and photographing them wherever I see them. I'm particularly fond of the oilspill logo and I’ve recently started tracking it down. These two photographs are just a glimpse of the whole project. The first was taken in Helsinki, and the second in Naples.

 •Carev vrh u koloru

 Guns on the streets
Over the last two years, the police have confiscated 9 mm guns, an AK 47 and there has been evidence of at least one M16 says Drug Task Force chief Kurt Walton.
The influx of high powered guns goes hand-in-hand with smugglers using the Cayman Islands as a transit point to ship large quantities of drugs into the US says Walton.
Organized criminals are using guns as part of its payment system to local people for making sure large drugs shipments transit through the Cayman Islands safely and on to the US.

 Container Recycled
Once a container has completed its useful life of about 12 years, often because it is damaged, several outcomes are possible. The most common is the container to be scrapped and the materials recycled. On some cases, a discarded container can be put to unique uses such as a bus shelter a temporary warehouse or even office space.

Ta-daaah! This one is mine. I finally have my very own Evergrin container. :) I got it from my friend Jacob who used to keep his fishing equipment here. Now he doesn't need it anymore and, knowing my "container obsession", gave it to me as a birthday present. I still have to figure out how to transport it to my home. In the meantime, I've made some photos of my new "pet". ;)

Caught quite unexpectedly on my trip to Delft, during a walk in the park. I have no idea how it got there and why, but it seems that my good fortune just keeps throwing used Evergrin's containers my way. I became quite a container spotter! ;)

I caught this sight when I went to visit my grandma in Haarlem. Evergrin's containers everywhere! And I have a growing interest in documenting them. I like this one, it has been put in use very cleverly. I'm sorry I couldn't find anyone to tell me who bought it and when, it would have been interesting to know.
Spotted by Jan Ballin at Vlaardingen, Netherlands
My friend Eimert bought one of Evergrin's containers; this photo is taken in his backyard. He says he's going to use it as a depository or something like that. Cool idea, but the inside of the container is horribly stinky. I have no idea how is he going to solve that. ;)
Spotted by Jan Ballin at Vlaardingen, Netherlands
This is the the first photo of Evergrin container I've made, it's a construction site near my home. There were many containers waiting to be used as building elements, almost all of them Evergrin's. That's the first time I've heard that anybody could buy off their used containers cheaply (though those containers are in a pretty bad state). The lady in grey dress told me that, she's the owner. :)

Hello there. I've spoted this one outside of Johanesburg. It is not the shipping company thats making it intresting, but the graffiti. Somone draw a world map on it and markt his position, and later on other people markt their location on it. And now we can see where it's been. I find this a nice way to show people the life of somethig as simple as a container.

Hello dear container spotter community. I've found this China-Shipping Company container in Rijeka, a small harbor town in Croatia. I find this one quite interesting because of the graffiti above it, because we all know what's the China-Shipping Company famous of. Thats all from me for now.
Bye

But the interesting thing about them is that there are one of the smallest company, but also one with the biggest incom. Now the only question is, what are there transporting!?
